This Earth Day weekend, celebrate Mother Nature and Springtime in Lake Arrowhead. SkyPark at Santa’s Village will be hosting our very first Family Forest Festival from April 20-22. Earth Day is celebrated everywhere to support the protection of the environment. Enjoy a whole weekend celebrating the importance and fun that nature has to offer. Be sure to bring the entire family for a weekend that will offer exciting outdoor activities for guests of all ages.

What To Expect

SkyPark is using this weekend to educate and encourage our guests to do their part in protecting our Earth through various entertainment within the Park. Come hang out with the Northwoods Characters and get artsy with some nature crafting. The Inspired Market, as guests may remember from SkyPark’s Harvest Festival, will have several nature-themed artisans and vintage vendors set up throughout the Park. Children can enjoy a thrilling magic show from SkyPark’s favorite, Wacko, and The Spring Awakening Party. The Spring Awakening Party is an educational and entertaining puppet show about Arrow’s adventure waking up all of his woodland friends from hibernation. Head over to Gingerbread Square for flower crowns and other crafts, because no matter how old you are, you can always enjoy flowers in your hair!

Other activities for children include face painting, meet & greets with the Northwoods Characters, live music from Ruled by Venus, balloon animals, orienteering, and a special appearance from Smoky the Bear and Woodsy Owl. The Lake Arrowhead Classic Ballet will be performing at the festival, and will even partake in the Springtime Parade with the Northwoods Characters at 4 pm!

New Hiking Trails

What better way to celebrate nature than to take a hike through the forest? Our two newest hiking trails, Henck Meadowlands and NorthWoods, will be open on the weekend of the Family Forest Festival. Guests who arrive for the festival can be the first to try it! The Henck Meadowlands trail is an almost half-mile, ADA accessible path. This trail is a flat, multi-use trail through our newly restored meadow area. Follow a creek through three small ponds and you will find yourself surrounded by newly planted vegetation. Keep an eye out for a variety of birds nesting, native wildflowers, and critters frolicking in the meadow.

The NorthWoods hiking trail is a 1.5 mile loop that begins at the zipline trail. The trail then takes guests on a journey into the beautiful Northwoods. This trail allows a glimpse of our mountain biking trails and continues across a stunning wood bridge above Lady Bug Pond. The second part of this trail is filled with dogwood trees and a variety of riparian vegetation. This trail is perfect during any time of year, as each season brings its own beauty to our forest.

About SkyPark at Santa’s Village

SkyPark at Santa’s Village is an outdoor adventure park along scenic route 18 in Lake Arrowhead. We offer people powered attractions all year long, like zip lining, rock climbing, mountain biking, and more. Our goal is to get guests up and moving while embracing the nature of the forest around them. During November and December, the Park decorates all 18 of the renovated buildings from the original Santa’s Village. During the year, we introduce new Northwoods Characters and activities that go hand in hand with what each season brings. We are currently in our Spring Into Adventure theme involving Springtime Northwoods Characters and multiple spring activities.
